Ariella is still very sound as a 12 year old doe. One of the best attributes that she has is her exceptional shoulder assembly, which she tends to pass on to her kids. We never did get a good udder photo. Her udder is very well attached, with good area of attachment, but needing more capacity. Cavatina is an exceptional doe especially in shoulder assembly, rump width, and good overall udder. Unfortunately a few years ago she was bashed by a herdmate, which killed a few of her kids that she was carrying as well as injuring her hip. While she has not been able to be shown as an aged doe, she gave us some exceptional kids in 2023 and we are lucky to have some bucks that are seeing use. She was appraised just one week fresh, unfortunately.

Buffa, like her sister above, is an exceptional doe. Buffa did well in 2022, managing to garner a couple BDIS in the competitive Northwest. She freshened in 2023 with mastitis and pneumonia. Although she responded to treatment, she was not in peak form for the 2023 ADGA National show. She did not catch for 2024.

Ophelia is a very milky doe, even as an aged doe. Her udder is holding up well, and at 8 years of age milked 888 lbs at 299 days. She has good conformation--she has a very nice rump with high, wide thurls. Her kids, by different sires, have gone on to appraise and show & milk well, too.

Belinda has been a bit of a sleeper. Her lactations have a steady curve and has been maintaining volume even as an older doe. She has solid conformation and good general appearance, with a nice mammary with exceptional attachment.

Hazel is an exceptionally lovely and productive doe. Unfortunately she is a tall girl. Her kids seem to be staying within height limits, and are also lovely and correct. Her daughter Castaña was 4th place dry yearling at the 2023 ADGA National show.

Tsuki is a lovely doe, inheriting the best of her dam’s and sire’s attributes. She milks well, and is one of the goats that we scratch our head in amazement wondering where all the milk came from. She is the poster child for visible udder capacity not equalling what is put in the pail.

Themis is sharp and angular, with exceptional width and height of thurls. If you want to appreciate good rump structure, just stand behind her. She is one of Alex’s favorite does to look at on the milk stand. We are happy to report that she finished her championship in 2023.

Tramo is a nice doe that excels in rump length and udder texture. Her udder disappears after miliking! Her daughter by Rondo is attracting attention in a friend’s herd, with two younger full sisters now in our herd. There is a lot to like!

With three full sisters, and one full brother to Mimi, it should be obvious that we like this cross. Mimi is very easy on the eyes, excelling in area of udder attachment and production. Her teats are long. She appraised 90 as a three-year old. Her kids by Zeke are phenomenal. We are hopeful for a long career for her in our herd!

Crema is another promising daughter of Mocha; we love the udders and will to milk of this dam line. Crema was a very small kid. We have noted that sometimes very small kids never grow out of the ‘premie’ phenotype, even if they don’t throw that phenotype to their offspring.

Paloma is probably the best goat overall that we’ve bred—just there is a bit too much of her. Sigh. We still love her and will be breeding her, hoping for a shorter version so that we can get her out in public.

Capella is a very well-balanced and well-proportioned doe with a nice and productive udder—one of those does that is pleasurable to see when milking. Yes, she is missing a milking photo. She is similar to many of our other chamoisee does that we missed taking a photo during the chaos of photo day. And yes, we are certainly filled with remorse and chagrin. Capella freshened in 2024 with SEXTUPLETS from an AI breeding to Oak Apple Spartan. All of the kids are carbon copies in build & color, except one cou clair doe that slipped in there. Nimue is a goat we are truly proud of. We have worked hard to improve rump structure while keeping good shoulders, and it is nice when we get good comments on Nimue’s rump and shoulder structure from judges and appraisers. Nimue was appraised as a FF, receiving the maximum score a FF can receive.

We expect Cynethreth to excel in general appearance; she is dairy, and her 2F udder shows great width and capacity. She is an ET when her dam refused to settle, despite multiple treatments for hydrometria. Farming is tough.

We lost control of our senses and sold Varia last year, but fortunately for us she was not a good personality match in her new home, so she’s back here. She gets along very well with Alex, which is key. We’re glad to have her back as we would like to keep some nice shoulder assemblies in our herd. The rest of her body & udder is pretty nice too!
