SGCH Camanna GD Moonlight Opera 2*M 07-03 VEEE 91 |
+B Proctor Hill Farm TO Go Daddy EEE 92 was a long, strong, smooth buck, with a good shoulder assembly (better than shown in the photo above). Kids are slow to mature, sometimes taking 2-3 lactations to bloom. He did not always nail udders, but when he did, they could be exceptional and also exceptionally productive with good lactation curves..

Guy was one of our first bucks, and we were so lucky in so many ways. Guy was the son of famous ARMCH Flat Rocks Here for the Party EEEV 90. He is the grandsire of Oak Apple Ophelia 04-06 VEEE 90--what he brought in was consistent good rump structure and strong backs, among other things. I wish we had the opportunity to appraise a few more of his offspring. Guy was incredibly sweet, easy to handle, and passed this temperament on to his kids.

Mustafa was a small buck that got nicer the closer you looked at him. His rump was particularly fine, with nice high thurls. Daughters have nicely-attached udders, usually higher rear attachments than their dam. We depended on him to improve rumps and decrease size.

Apollo's sire swept the show scene as a mature buck, winning multiple Best Buck in Show. This breeding is a line breeding on Apollo's dam Calista as Omega Red was Calista's grandson. Calista was a lovely and productive doe. We had Apollo briefly - his kids in another herd stood out with good general appearance. We recently got twin does using this semen, so the semen is good. We will be retaining some for use in our herd.

Castle Rock Cyclogenesis is a full brother to GCH Castle Rock Snownamie 2*M, the dam of the 2015 ADGA National Champion Nigerian, GCH Castle Rock Flash Flood. I had the good fortune to meet Snownamie in person in 2012. She made such an impression that we have been incorporating a few related individuals in our herd. We like their width of rump, marvelous udders excelling in overall area of attachment and will to milk, as well as good general appearance and temperament. Cyclogenesis has excellent length of body and levelness, with good angulation. Daughters thus far have excellent rear udder arches with good area of tight attachment.

Presto was a buck we were quite excited about. Unfortunately, as a young buck he succumbed to pneumonia after unseasonal late fall warm temperatures followed by unseasonal cold temperatures. Fortunately we had a few straws collected, and he was used on a couple of our better does as well. He was a long buck, with flat bone and high thurls. Presto was awarded JrCh in 2/3 rings at the 2016 Mega Bucks show, and reserve in the last ring. We can share a few straws.

Oak Apple Anesidora |
We brought Forgie to our herd as he is a similar mix to some of our does - his dam shares some ancestry with two of the Piddlin Acres foundation does in our herd, with the same levelness, smoothness, and strength of chine as Piddlin Acres BZ Whata Diva. His sire is a son of Old Mountain Farm Cernunnos, allowing us to linebreed on both sides of the pedigree. We really like his daughter Anesidora, and we anticipate using frozen semen as needed to emphasize these attributes.

Mikado's maternal grandmother is PromisedLand Palita, a doe that appraised EEEE 90 while being on the top ten milker list for 3 years. Dam Mizuki was a long-bodied doe that had true dairy ribbing and dairy strength, with good longevity (appraising 90 as a nine-year-old). Mikado improves milk production, length of body and rump, while keeping attachments nice and tight.

This is THE buck to look for if you are looking for proven milk production. Zeke is on the ELITE list for milk production - proof that his daughters can milk. Maternal sister SG Sugar Moon V Zuzanna has been on the ADGA Top Ten list for three years (2017, 2018, and 2019). In 2018 Zuzanna topped the list for milk, fat, and protein production. There are numerous other ELITE does in that dam line as well! Daughters have done well in the show ring, and we look forward to tabulation of linear appraisal results from this last year. Zeke was appraised in 2022 and was given 49 for rump width, which is phenomenal (even being 5/8" over height). We look forward to seeing sons and daughters in our herd! |

Pachacuti is an angular small buck. His dam is small, so he should be an ideal buck to use on does of ample height. The rare qualities I expect Pachacuti to bring to the table are udder height (^^look at dam's rear udder^^) along with good shoulder assembly. He has been bred to many of our nice does this fall.
